Michael Diskin MIHI
Michael is an experienced hospitality professional for high-end, customer driven service delivery 
organisations and is a long-time business colleague of Hospitality Products founder, John O’Byrne. He graduated from the Shannon College of Hotel Management with honours and 2 awards including a champagne scholarship for best Oenology student. He spent 5 years managing food and beverage departments in some of New York City’s finest hotels, including the Fitzpatrick’s Manhattan Hotel, The Grand Hyatt New York, the Sheraton Hotel and Towers and as the Director of Food and Beverage, was part of the conversion team that transformed the AAA five star five diamond Ritz Carlton Hotel on Central Park South into a newly branded 5-star Westin property.
Immigrating back to Ireland in the late 90’s, Michael Diskin started Madison Avenue Event Services, his own event management, catering and hospitality consultancy business. By targeting the exclusive private and corporate luxury markets, he successfully organised many high profile events and catered for many celebrity clients and blue chip customers, including royalty and government dignitaries. Madison Avenue was one of CaterHire’s top customers at the time and was where the business relationship with John was first forged.
He later diversified into the private golf and sports club management sector and for over 13 years worked as General Manager and Chief Executive of some of Dublin’s most exclusive clubs including Lansdowne FC and Foxrock GC. Collaborating with club officers, board members and trustees, he coordinated large capital refurbishments and operated these organisations as financially successful businesses, applying modern day procedures and customer driven practices.
